Welcome to your March coffee bible; preaching this month’s speciality latest and filling your diary with the coolest caffeinated events

Top of the Scots

We had a fantastic few days in Glasgow last week launching the brand spanking new Scottish Indy Coffee Guide.

Big up to our amazing host Dear Green and to all of our sponsors (we’re looking at you Cimbali, Cakesmiths, KeepCup, Schluter and SCA) who made the evening of beers, brews, cake and latte art such as success. Get your mitts on the new guide here.

Letterbox lovin’

Fans of Casa Epsresso rejoice, the Bradford based roastery has just launched its first coffee subscription service!

Choose from the stonking house blends, or one of the seriously good seasonal single origins, delivered to your door in postie approved, letterbox-friendly packaging at weekly, bi-weekly or monthly intervals. Pick your personalised subscription here.

Sourcing in El Salvador

Clifton Coffee‘s E1 Project is in its third year and this February saw the Bristol-based roaster’s annual trip to origin in El Salvador.

In a bid to improve traceability, transparency and quality, the project was designed to tell the tale of what happens between farmer and roaster when buying a single coffee from a single grower. Find out more about the latest trip and Clifton’s E1 Project here.

Glasgow Coffee Fest

There’s still time to bag early bird tickets to this year’s Glasgow Coffee Fest at The Briggait on May 6-7.

Not only will the event from the guys at Dear Green showcase Scotland’s thriving coffee shops and roasteries, but will also play host to the UK Brewers Cup and Scottish heat of the UKBC.

Pod life

Stocking a range of Colonna Coffee pods, capsule coffee connoisseurs can now stock up on the good stuff at Somerset’s Strangers with Coffee.

Swing by the Wells coffee shop for one of owner Ivan’s speciality filters before packing as many pods as you can carry home.

Voyage of discovery

Devon’s Voyager Coffee has this month launched a swanky new website for all your beany needs.

From the latest espresso blends for the home-brewer and cafe’s badass coffee machines, to the next academy courses for the budding barista, you’ll find it all right here.

You’ve been schooled

Calling all future bean brewers, Coffea Arabica‘s latest line-up of barista training and sensory courses has landed.
