Welcome to your December coffee bible; preaching this month’s speciality latest and filling your diary with the coolest caffeinated events

December

Just call us St Nick …

We’ve just made Christmas shopping that little bit easier with the brand new Indy Coffee Guide bundle. The latest Scottish, Northern and South West & South Wales Guides in one wonderfully geeky package – with a cheeky discount too. You’re welcome.

That’s 2017 sorted

How does free coffee for the whole of 2017 sound? Pretty good, we know. For your chance to bag a year’s subscription from Argyll’s Home Ground Coffee, head to our homepage.

Coffea Arabica

Looking to pick up some new skills in the new year? Bristol’s Coffea Arabica will be adding a Sensory Tour from Around the World course to its timetable in 2017, where students will cup some of the best speciality coffee available in the market that day. Get the full deets here.

Tincan take two

We’re looking forward to the opening of Tincan Coffee‘s second bricks and mortar venue in Bristol’s Old City. The new coffee shop on Clare Street should – fingers crossed – be open before Christmas.

Hamper happy

Looking for a greedy Crimbo gift? Or just want to treat yourself to some pukka Yorkshire fodder? Leeds’ Out of the Woods has created make-your-own festive hampers this year, stuffed full of fabulous local produce such as Dark Woods coffee, garlic and olive flatbread, and clotted cream shortbread. Get yours in store.

Top of the teas

Congrats to the team at Aberfeldy’s Habitat Cafe who scooped the Tea Accolade at the Beverage Standards Association Awards 2016. It may not have quite the same kick as coffee but their selection of The Wee Tea Company, Waterloo Garden and Canton Teas are certainly noteworthy.
